    Maybe he was mentally ill. Maybe he was loaded up on his prescribed meds and when added with marijuana there was some sort of imbalance in his head.

    If he was on probation for his previous violations, I'm sure there are records of what he takes and a work up documenting his competency.

    Either way, crazy or not, there is no excuse for his actions that ultimately led to his demise.

    Sometimes.

    I'm just saying that if someone gets in trouble and wants to straighten up, sometimes they do. Sometimes they don't. When they do, the system works. When they don't, the system gets blamed, but it isn't always the systems fault. The person in the program has to want to change and put forth some sort of effort.
