As soon as my total enlistment was up I took my entire sea bag to the nearest military surplus store and sold all of my stuff. I had never worn my Dress Blues, peacoat or my "Johnny Cash" black uniforms because we always deployed to "warmer weather" when it got cold. I got $60 for everything back in '96 and kept my Dress blues but I do regret selling the peacoat since my wife mentioned she would have loved to have it. Just a suggestion if you want to make a little extra money.
