Sulphur burps.

Been having some awful farts and sulphur burps the last three days. WTH causes that? Wife is about to quarintine me.

Some kind of medicine, pills, or herbs you may be taking. My wife had that problem. I hope this helps.

Yea, I just started retaking my triglyceride and thyroid meds, plus the doc thru a cholesterol med on top of that.

I was taking several different varieties of the (preventative) anti-acid meds like Prevacid, etc., and that can do it too. It is a miracle drug for some but for me, it was NOT. Same thing you described but with the added *bonus* of a failed ****-fart separator. IOW, if you're ever taking that stuff and think you just have a little gas, do not let it rip unless you're close to the house.

me either, but if yours fails, you WILL find out! that's why I never get much higher than about 500 feet.

I have found that, as you age, the ****-fart separator can malfunction at the worst possible times...

Went the last two days without any of the meda and the gas and pain went away. Gonna start taking one at a time to see which one lays into me.

That's where my money is Dave. I've taken the Triglys and thyroid in the past. The cholesterol is new.

Depends on the type of cholesterol med. Certain types (cholestyramine) cause malabsorption to reduce cholesterol absorption. Makes your poop fatty and float in the toilet. I would not be surprised if it also makes one gassy, although I don't know if it really smells like sulphur.
My bf one day we realized was actually lactose intolerant and just had the NASTIEST gas ever all of a sudden.

And. If anyone cares, the technical term for the $hit fart separator is anal sampling. It's totally real.
