I think a lot of this is up in the air until the Court rules. Registration, concealment, ammo limits may be left up to the states depending on how detailed/regulatory the interpretation gets. Wish I was still in DC for this one. I was up there during Heller.

Is this legit or paranoia? I usually don't use cash.

Technically wal-mart can track any transaction on any item, category or price point. The only information visible is the information you see on your receipt. Only time research is done on an individual transaction basis is at the customers request or to aid in a LE investigation. I feel comfortable swiping my card, discount card and all when purchasing ammo or guns from walmart, even the Zachary store.

I wish you could carry without a permit EVERYWHERE, but that's just not the way it is. I believe if you are a law abiding citizen with a clean record, you should be able to- but that's just me. Firearms laws are kind of like that Masterlock you keep on your garage- it's there for the "honest people". Neither one works against a person with bad intentions.

Isn't it interesting that Vermont- widely considered a liberal stronghold- requires NO permit for either concealed OR open carry- yet still has one of the lowest crimes rates in the nation. Then again, it's not a big shock to us. That should tell EVERYONE something, instead of only the pro-gun crowd.

    I guess you don't have a driver's license either?

    No social security number?

    No utilities at your house?

    never bought a firearm on a 4473?

No license plate on your car?

God knows you never been in the military.

    Your info is everywhere.

Nevermind the chip placed in your colon via anal teleoscopy.

With all due respect. Think you might be missing the point. The key word is "criminal"data base. One should not be automatically considered "armed and dangerous" because they have a permit.
