M&P-40 is very comfortable and quality gun for the price, I bought a S&W SD40ve to keep in my truck. Paid $289 brand new at Academy, hard to beat for an entry level gun that has never had a malfunction. Recently acquired my first Glock, a model 30-45ACP. Real nice, but not as comfortable as either S&W IMO!

Yeah, I'm a bit dyslexic and belong to so many gun boards, I can't remember which post I already put where.

i got my sights set on a steyr m40 a1

    or an XDM 5.25 next

I like my Beretta PX-4 Storm. It's has a comfortable feel in my hand. After I dialed in the sights It's very consistently accurate with Mag Tech and Winchester ammo. It came with a plastic recoil guide rod that I wasn't crazy about at all. I just didn't feel that the guide rod should be made out of plastic so I replaced it with a stainless steal rod. Tried a friends Sig P226 Tacops and I really liked it. Felt good, looked good, super quality and accurate also. I want one.

If you want the best pistol in .40 S&W, try out any HK. They have a buffer in the recoil spring. It makes a significant difference in felt recoil--almost like a 9mm. So, try out a USP, P2000, or P30. You probably won't look back.

    Love the 40:
Sig 226. 239 (very accurate shooter) Glock 22 & favorite is G23 (Bed Side) and truck gun is Ruger SR40c (very easy to shoot and also really accurate)
