If they have them on staff I would think they are paying them anyways. I am also certain they are able to cancel back orders for any reason they see fit. If you really think its a bright idea go to a lawyer and ask him to file suit. I know that wont happen. I guess I'd be a bit asshurt too if I didn't have mine sitting in my closet, however I wouldn't be so asshurt as to have it make me dumb enough to think a class action lawsuit would be viable. I understand he is new, but that doesn't alliviate the fact that he is posting nonsense.
If you believe thinking isn't my strong suit feel free to prove me wrong. Seek out a lawyer who is dumb enough to attempt this on his dime. Otherwise people are just making uninformed posts and chest thumping over nothing.
Nate, really dude, your more grown up then this. You have a full grown man beard. So keep this **** out my thread, I'm dissatisfied with how they handled the cancelation. I've carried my ass to the store, I have another AR I put together already, waiting on a BCG. Some people are ok with shitty service I'm not.Actually he did. And rather than take the risk with a back order he made a trip to get his from a store that had it in stock. I suggest you guys contemplating a suit read Dicks Terms and Conditions on Backorders.
I'm sure under contract with Dicks there's something stating that dicks is still liable for orders that have been completed or parts and other expenses, or I'm sure Troy will take legal action against Dicks.I'm actually surprised Troy hasn't stepped up. Troys brand is gonna take a hit by proxy and they are stuck with product. If I was them if be finding someone to fill Dicks shoes and move these rifles.

Your contrarian act is getting long in the tooth. It's especially so as it almost always comes on the coat tails of other posters who first make the points you parrot.
As of now, you have no clue what a law suit might look like, whether anyone has a case, or any other shred of detail (like mitigating circumstances, which there are a few}. The people involved can figure it out for themselves. Lou offered the contacts. I'm sure the actual, non-internet attorneys can figure out the details when/if they meet with clients. If there's an up front fee, a person can simply decline.
First time I ever put some one on the ignore list, kind of like taking out the trash! Smells better in here already. Lol!
Now back on topic, that would be nice if Troy steps up and does that Nate.
When I was eating Christmas dinner yesterday(more like Christmas lunch), I brought this topic up. Involved in the discussion were two lawyers and a legal assistant. The unanimous conclusion is that dicks is a large enough company to have disclaimers on everything. They are also large enough to have their legal department check on these things before they do them. That it would be amazing to see anyone try to sue them, as no lawyer would want to waste his/her time on the issue, and no rational human being would be so stupid as to try to finance suit over a 800 dollar rifle.
You're saying I don't know what the details would look like and you're right. I do know that I've spoken to people who have graduated from Loyola and passed the bar. I would go out on a limb and say that nobody here talking about suing them has done the same. Has anyone complaining read the backorder policy?
You are amazingly uninformed. When I was eating Christmas dinner yesterday(more like Christmas lunch), I brought this topic up. Involved in the discussion were two lawyers and a legal assistant.
It's not often I take pity on attorneys...
Your team of elf attorneys all have experience in consumer protection laws and you were able to provide them will every pertinent detail of each consumer? You're killing me.
All doctors do kindney transplants without post op, too?
No, but they all have experience with common sense.
