It seems to appear that all of this scrutiny involving police around the country is both a good thing and a bad thing. It exposing some dastardly things, but it is also exposing some serious deficiencies. Incidents like this are showing glaring examples of underfunded police forces, grossly underpaid employees, and with that comes a serious lack of competent recruitment, and training.
Now that being stated, remember that there are political forces that want to flame this discontent between police and people; and I'm not talking about those stupid black lives matter morons or the phony justice seekers. Look at the NOPD as an example of how bad underfunded departments fall apart. That is a serious problem.
We'd better start asking the right questions about the piles of **** we are electing, because they are running these departments and their cities into the ground. And the buck will stop at the law abiding, because the criminals couldn't care any less!
I'll definitely agree that police salaries are nowhere near what they should be. You get what you pay for.
