So here's a question on Yuengling... if you go to a bar, would you rather bottle or tap? This is for market research, so please stick to Yuengling... I honestly don't need everyone's personal opinion on their favorite beer on tap or bottle (though I understand that I will get some just for mentioning this). :)

Draft. Kegs are usually fresh; bottles tend to sit for a while before distribution.

Bottles are also affected by light transmission and temperature.

It's okay ... used to buy it local in PA because it was cheap, not so much because it was good. Interesting that is has made its way down here.

Always draft over bottle. For any beer.

Abita, Parish Brewing company, Lazy Magnolia, Bayou Teche, Nola... All local to Louisiana

Why bother with some import from some other region? I've had it. It's ok. Nothing special. Glad to see another choice, but I'll stick with my locals.

    Lazy Mag is in Mississippi.

However, I agree; Support the local breweries. There are over 30 breweries in Louisiana.

It's like Coors back in the day. When you couldn't get it, everybody wanted some. Now Coors is just another beer on the shelf. Yuengling will have its run, but will become another beer on the shelf.

I prefer craft beer, especially local, and I also brew my own which is a fun and interesting hobby. Sometimes I don't want to wait 2 or 3 weeks for a batch, or spend $7-10 on a 6 pack and I don't want to take the time appreciating hops and malt while doing yard work. Sometimes I just want an ice cold beer.

Usually buy Miller Lite for those occasions, but got a 12pk of Yuengling Light yesterday and it wasn't too bad at all, priced similarly with Miller, Bud, and Coors' offerings too. Never had their light, I can see myself buying more. My wife HATES domestic lights and even she said it wasn't bad.

I was drinking it in FL last week, just a good alternative to Miller or Coors when you're drinking cheap or in quantity. The price seemed to be slightly better than the usual cheap beers. There was a lot of hype over it, probably because it's unavailable here, and I was pretty let down, but it's not bad.

I'll likely never spend money on Abita again. Always just mediocre at a slightly above mediocre price. Parish, Gnarly Barley, and sometimes Great Raft are really the only breweries in the state that I like.

And to answer the other question: Draft wins all the time for drinking at a restaurant or bar. Bottles and cans for portability only
