I've been told our +P+ rounds will penetrate our vests...

but, murphy's rule of gunfighting: always remember your equipment was made by the lowest bidder.

Ok, any distance, and Where is the range?

Devil Dog... Ive won this bet before with a broke down used up Pasgt 30$ vest... My point is Yes they were designed for fragments.

Think about it. Fragments that are tungsten, moving at balistic speeds in excess of some pistol calibres.

If you really want to do this, email me. Ill take your money. and I keep the rest of the vest for pannels.

E-mail sent. Ok, FITS, Inc. I'll call them and set up something this weekend. It's in Slidell. 7 yards with a 9mm range round. 1 shot, 1 full penetration of the front panel of the vest. $100.

Also, fragments are not just bullet fragments. Further, fragments don't all move at balistic speeds.

    will a pillow work?

No, it compresses too much and then the rear panels act in conjunction with the front panels. Also, the jacket has to be positioned so that it doesn't move. The force of the round could easily kick the jacket up or to the side which would alter the MOA on the target, causing it to go down the length of the front of the panel or just end up 'swinging' the jacket and thus changing the test results.

A tree will not simulate the human body. I'd suggest using a sand bag sitting on a bar stool so the pressure will knock the bag backwards as if the human body wearing a vest would fall.
