If they try and force me to give my blood they will be forcing me to take there blood. One 9mm drain hole at a time. This is such ********. I am a two time Veteran of OIF and this country was not founded on forcing anyone to do anything that defeats the reason why America was founded. Screw this law lets hope for every ones sake that they don't try this **** on me. However I do agree if there is a fatality involved it does change the playing field and a proper investigation is owed to the surviving family members.

I was under the impression that blood tests are mandatory when someone has been injured.

I think you are right that was the law. Like all laws it depends on who you are. If you (the drunk driver and person at fault) are a LEO your daddy is a retired LEO on the scene and your LEO brother on duty is at the scene you might not have to do all that silly blood thing, just refuse and let the DA do his magic in your favor.

    WOW

With that tough guy attitude and your very intelligently thought out screen name, I am sure there is a Katana or two n your closet.

Thank you for your service, but do yourself a favor and get a better screen name before this post is blown up 10'x10' at your trial after you legitimately use deadly force in self defense.

It is kinda like having a public name like C-MURDER and then wonder why you are found guilty of murder when you are a suspect.

You have a right to be upset if you do not agree with it, but posts like this do you no good legally.

    Just trying to help

Are you saying that people are found guilty not because of the fact but because of circumstantial evidence? That may be true, I just hate to hear that especially from a LEO. I'm not trying to change the subject, I guess I still have the false idea that our legal system still protects the innocent.

Yes, you have a VERY false idea.

    Sad but true. :(

Our legal system is operated by human beings. Don't expect it to be flawless. Sure, it sucks sometimes, but so do a lot of people.

I think and I may be wrong that Brannon is trying tell him it's not a good idea to have a screen name like that and post that you are going to shoot LEO's with a 9mm.

That could kind of really bite you in the ass if you ever have to shoot anybody.

I could be wrong but that's what I got of it.

My dad used to have the email psychojoe... but decided to change it since he'd be using it to communicate with firearm manufacturers. :)

You do realize that just about every driver arrested says this exact same thing.

I'm not convinced forcing someone to give up their blood is a good thing either.
And I am saying that after having worked some horrifying DWI fatalities.

I understand, but anyone who knows me knows that I do not ever drink more than one beer and get behind the wheel. Hell, I have proly only had 12 beers in the last 4 months......

This isn't anything new... DWI Task Force from round about Alexandria does this nightly...

Driving is a privilege not a god given right.. I personally think that you should have to submit regardless..

And if you get stopped, do you think the offier/deputy/trooper will smell the beer and ask you if you have been drinking?

To which you will reply, "I only had one".....

Do you expect them to believe you?
Maybe they will go ask those people who know you.

See, you missed my point entirely.

Is the scent of alcohol all that is necessary to request a breathalyzer test?
