I didn't say anything about thier VIEWS making them assholes
 Where do you come up with this stuff ....

and no one here has expressed the opposite feeling.

You guys have went off on opinions that haven't really been expressed here by anyone.

Well maybe in the poll which was as a mere joke with I've explained how it became an option.

lol The poll really only expresses two opinions even though there is three options.
that was a general statement. come on, now. stop being so nitpicky. besides, you made a reference earlier about someone being an ******* if they're splitting lanes.

You do know that "mom and pop" are against splitting traffic
    lol

a good reason? to be completely honest, i don't think i can find a reason TO do it. Why allow it? although splitting is dangerous, i think bikers realize the danger in riding altogether. if we wanted to be safe we'd all drive cars and SAFELY, mind you; no speeding, no running yellow lights, etc. but the truth is, i just think it's a perk of riding something small that can get by, like a bicycle that can cut through areas that motorists of all kinds can't.

That is my point though, I cant find a reason to do it. I agree with you that bikers realize the danger in riding, but their actions effect other people. If we were debating wearing seatbelts, I would agree with your point entirely, but if I'm not wearing a seatbelt and fly out through the windshield, it doesn't really effect anyone else. If it has no real benefits and it puts other people in danger, it shouldn't be done.

I don't ride anyone's bumper, that's deffinetly not me, I will stay back until I have room to pass and use my blinkers, I have a bright red 929rr and a white jacket that reflects back when lights hit it. So itey my best to be seen.

That is odd, because I thought you said you've been brake checked. Its hard to brake check someone who isn't following too close. I'm so confused by your posts in this thread. The whole being brake checked, but never following close, throwing pennies, but never throwing pennies, I'm not a criminal but I disobey traffic laws and vandalize property. I dunno, I guess I'm just really confused at this point.

like i said, i really think it's just a perk. sitting in bumper to bumper traffic is a drain and a huge waste of time. it's a risk but i've been doing it for years. i gauge when i should and shouldn't and it's worked out so far. i view it like i view shooting a gun or operating any machinery: it has to be done properly, and like being around guns and operating machinery there are risks involved.

If me driving over the speed limit in my truck is such a big deal and it does put others in harms way, then you guys riding your motorsicles splitting traffic or bypassing stopped traffic on the shoulder should be held equally responsible......nufff said!!!!!

Wow, such bike hatred in this thread!....."I hate it enough to invoke violence!"
    .

After you've been riding as long as I have, you'll get to where you won't bother with threads or discussions like this
"Cagers" don't or won't ever understand what it is to be a biker (to his core)
I s'pose it's like trying to explain our love for guns, to a Lib...

You guys on 2 wheels? (not the "I used to ride" types)
When you get on the back roads or on two lanes,
Away from town and you get that low hand or head nod from every rider that passes
You know that "they" know, what it means
    to be a biker

Bike riders can do what they want. When you are splattered because of a bad decision you make please don't drag my ass through the legal system because you are a tard. Live with your bad decision and face up to your responsibilities.

Of course you don't understand Hitman and it's human nature to make make light of things when we don't "get it"
Hell, Maybe I don't get it, after all I've been inhaling exhaust fumes for 40 years:todd:

Oh I think I understand quite well.

I rode b/c it was fun and I could afford it both financial and responsibility wise/. I rode my uncles Harley for almost a year and for a few years a Suzuki Katana. I wore little to nothing on the Harley but a Skull Cap and on the Katana I wore a $400 Ballistic jacket I bought off a friend in Ruston and a $250 Helmet from McKinney Honda. That was pretty much it. I never bought into the attire of bikers and all the other jazz. I rode alone to and from work and rode home when on break. I gave the low hand to those bikers I passed but didn't think their was some internal bonding sensation :p lol just joking.

I just couldn't help but think about all the new riders at work and their mid-life crisis blowing their retirement on Harley's with an extra $6,000 in accessories. Changing their attire to all Black & Chrome and being sure to wear things with skulls on them. Silver rings and even new Tattoo's and a go-tee to boot! Wearing Bandana's now instead of hats like they used to. oh and heaven forbid the infamous 'WALLET CHAIN'

So when I think about them and then see your post I lose it man, LOL!

I mean I'm glad they enjoy themselves and all and have found a new passion in their life, but I find the EGO pumping absolutely freaking hilarious!

Reminds me of Wild Hogs but way worse :D

    lol, there ya go Jay.
I guess some people just think "biker" no matter the motorcyclist. Never thought of myself as a "biker" though. I mean, I can't imagine myself showing up at the track or a bikenight dressed in hog leathers and toting a wallet chain..
And if it's all ego I guess I missed that part. All this time I thought I was riding for the sheer pleasure. Yep, that and because I can do anything I want on my motorcycle.

Oh we have some of those too. Just got into Golf guru's and have bought all sorts of pants and sweatshirts to match. Best thing is that one of them doesn't buy anything and got his clubs from a pawn shop. He's the most consistant out of all of them! lol

    Yes, folks are funny :)
