The difference is truly this:
I "use" to own a tricked out mini that had a new barrel and on the whistles.
cost me about 1400 after it was all said and done.
The gun shot 1"moa and was at every level a solid rifle.
I purchased a STAG model 2 M4 in 5.56 two years ago for under $850...
No such thing as an 18" barrel for sell to the public for the Rems.
You will have to saw it off...
My recomendation would be to but a 21" slug barrel.
that is what I have on the 870 and it has the extended magazine and saddle for extras.
Most of the bills are in my girlfriends name.

Since you guys wont come out and say it...I hate Glocks! I have never liked them. I wont refute the fact that they are capable handgun and are tough as nails...but i would rather spend another 2-300 on a HK or SIG...I think they are just better guns to shoot.

I am new to forum and I have always been curious about the 18" rule. From what I have been able to drum up the length there is no standard start to finish piont for teh barrel...
For eaxample there is a min. length the gun has to be from the barrel to the end of the stock.
