    SWLA is on Fire with Teal. Hayes, LA is stacking up huge numbers and the SWLA Marshes in and around Hackberry are doing fantastic.

    Saved two for my Dog to Train with;

    Then de-breasted the others to make homemade 'Teal & Chicken Noodle Soup' on Rice :D

    I didn't get to go due to work, but my Brother and friend limited both days down near Ft. Jackson. I recieved a text from my buddy that they only shot 3 at our lease in Delacroix, only about 20 miles to the northeast of where they were.

    From what I heard you were lucky to get anything in Delacroix!

    Myrtle grove was loaded up. Everyone in the hunting party got limits Saturday and Sunday.

    The camp is way down the road and there are about 30 poles that are still down so power was out the question. Luckily we got the hookup from a buddy and didn't have to worry about sweating the night out.

    Saturday night we got to enjoy some of our spoils browned with rice and gravy, ooh I can still taste it!

    Had a lot of work to do this weekend though. There was about 2 feet of water over the slab and the marsh grass was about 2 feet thick in the backyard. Plenty of mud in the shed to wash out but it was all worth it!

    Also poaching is bad mmmkay!

    (white shirt on left is W&F, camo kids on the right are the poachers and the green shirt in the middle is the pissed off land owner. He let them have it!)

    Almost @ Catahoula

    Tough Hunting considering the 1 mile walk through Lilly Pudding :puke:

    Things are quieting down over there now. However the South Side seems to still be popular. Teal seem to start losing altitude around the Diversion Canal and the channel into the Lake. The North side started talking again around 0900.

    Probably could have finished off had I stayed but had to get to work.

    ...and of course, right as I walked off one single floated right over where I was standing!!! :doh:

    2 Limits in 7 Minutes

    Killed 2 limits in just at 7 minutes.

    What a blessed hunt for my last hunt of the season. For me anyway :( -Going out of town-

    BARELY had time to reload before they circled again.

    The Teal seemed confused and in their confusion were determined to land on our decoys to figure out what was going on.

    Even made it in on time at work, then realized my Dad and I hadn't even got the chance to take a picture.

    Praise the Lord blessed Hunt!

    I've been borrowing my Father-n-law's IKAM Extreme Glasses. They do ok I guess. Could be better.

    The problem is there's just no view like the view you get from the camera being level and between your eyes. Sadly there's no HD version of these POV Cam's. Unless you want to strap a camera to you Gun or Head. But then you lose the TRUE Pov of it all.

    I forgot to turn it on this morning so I caught none of that Yellow Jacket Nest Type frenzy of a hunt we had.
    It would have been too dark anyway.

    IKAM Extreme;

    We didn't have that great of a weekend. 3 hunters both days, 7 birds... and we had to wait for them. Luckily, we have a grill in the blind for breakfast!

    I have a Contour ROAM video camera I'll be trying out this year, probably mounted to the gun and the hat

    I really want to get a pair of Go Pro HD 2s one for the gun and one on the head. They supposedly work very well in low light conditions.

    Yes they are nice. Pricey too$$$$

    Problem is they are REALLY POV. No magnifier at all. So you can get good bird shots with them, and it'll be in HD but they'll still look like Black specs against the horizon, unless they are decoying :p

    I've yet to see a really good video from a GoPro of duck hunting where I was impressed enough to go out and get one. The video might be out there, just haven't seen it yet :D

    I just don't like the panoramic type view

    I saw one recently where someone put one on his dog. It was pretty cool to watch the retrievers pov. Into and under water, to the bird and back to looking at the owner
