The Lee hand primer uses a special shell holder. Some people see this as a downside. (I don't)

You can buy a set of the holders. The set has 11 not 12, so 1 spot is empty in the plastic case.

    I like the hand primers.

I have the Lee shell holders already so I'll probably stick with Lee. Keep the input coming though, I like to weigh my options before pulling the trigger.

I think the lee hand primer uses a different shell holder just for the primer, i think. So, if im not mistaken, you would have to buy them anyway. This is an old memory working, so double check first.

I have both sets of lee shell holders. Ones that go in the auto prime and the ones that go in the press.

I still usually use my lee press mounted primer more than my hand primer. Tho only downside I have found to the press primer is having to tap the tray from time to time. Of course, the man cave has my computer and TV right beside me, so I do all of my priming for all the calibers I am doing in one evening.
