Dave, you don't have to try to annoy anyone. I'm thinking it comes natural to you. Do you have control issues at home? Just trying to figure out why every one of your post are so condensing.

I was able to pull up a caricature of Mineralman55 on my magic crystal ball as his post descends into chaos. Keep in mind it only shows up as an emoji!

Yeah, sorry to jack your thread mineralman. Just wanted to respond to dave_m. Even though I can't help, I like to read so that maybe I can learn a couple things along the way.

So we can get back on track... (or not)

I'd advise that you check the things mentioned earlier (gas block alignment, bolt catch, magazine catch). Anyone who reloads should know how their rifle works.

Just wanted to respond to dave_m.

Send me a PM sometime. I don't bite.

You're obviously very knowledgable, good to see you'll put that knowledge to good use helping others.
On a side note; I'm not the least bit concerned with your bite.
Now back to our regularly scheduled thread.......

First the grammar popo and now Dave. The your/you're and a misspelled word seams fairly childish to me.

    FIFY

I don't think the standard buffer will work, it's too long. Just a tad.

I've never heard of a long buffer causing FTF issues, but I'm curious to know if it's happened before. Would that be because the BCG isn't picking up the round with enough force on the return?

This is why my OP asked a simple question... who is a known, quality AR gunsmith on the Northshore. I did not ask for a diagnosis of this rifle's functioning problems through this forum because of what just transpired. On-air diagnoses are iffy at best. I have checked the usual potential causes of FTF, and come up with nothing specific. So again, if anyone knows a quality AR gunsmith on the Northshore, please let me know. If not, move on.

PM ta2d_cop. He is a competent gunsmith and I can personally vouch for his work.

Never used them before, but I've heard of Ruelet Gun Works in Covington. http://www.reuletgunworks.com/

Honestly, you can diagnose and fix the problem for far less than any gunsmith will charge you. Your money to burn, chief.

Sometimes, there is a fine line between someone wanting to do something themselves, and just letting others handle it. :)

I used to do plumbing work a long, long time ago; but I have no desire to change out a sewer main under my slab just because I could!

Nonetheless, these threads ALWAYS provide me with a good chuckle!
