West Monroe police officers responded to the Walmart Supercenter, after being notified by their staff of a suspicious package that was discovered at one of the front entrances.

The Mandeville police blocked hwy 190 for quite a while this morning. Turned out to be a briefcase with a bunch of junk inside. Left outside the post office. They exploded it.

They had the road blocked off in front of Walmart, brought in the robot to x-ray it then blew it up all together took about two hours.

Now the big question why in the hell would someone bomb West Monroe Walmart. If you have ever been in it after 9:00 then you know its not packed and there's mostly white trash meth head bawcomites in there, definitely not high priority targets.

I bet the Monroe Police Bomb Squad is going to be busy for a while following the events of Boston. There will be several more "suspicious package" type incidents before it's all over.
