I think the logo looks good. Maybe it's just the picture but it seems like you can't see "bayou" very well. Otherwise, looks great!

This. I should have been more clear. The "O"s look good, but the other lettering is hard to read vs, the solid text in the chop in the original post.

Unfortunately with the etching that's the only way to go. Yes, it is definitely more clear/legible in person. My concern was the size of the logo but I was sent a mockup against the waved blade and it's about as big as it can get.

Those pictures were hastily taken with our phones. I haven't had a chance to take one with a real camera but that one should do.
