    If shooting rifle a hanging target at 300+ yards 3/8" is fine. I have a 1/2" ISPC on a stand that I have been beating the crap out of for about 4 years and it's still almost perfect. I usually shoot that a 500+ due to its size. I just picked up some 3/4" squares and a 66% IPSC on a group buy and it is WAY overkill but I don't think I could damage them if I tried. All targets are AR-500.
