Nationwide I would say less than 1% carry a pistol with a light at all times and that would include all LEO's.
Yep. Wml & handheld.

I carry one every day and I have since about 2010. I had a streamlight pt1l and within the last year or so I upgraded to a streamlight protac 2l-x.
When I went through the academy, we were not allowed to carry a wml on our pistols. When someone asked why not, we were told they didn't want an officer to not have a charge for/not have a/forget his handheld flashlight and start waving his pistol (with wml) around to direct traffic. I kept a Streamlight TLR-1 in my patrol bag, right where it would be of no use in a SHTF situation. But I'd grab it when we had to clear buildings on alarm calls. By the time the "no wml" rule was starting to be enforced, I had gone to the detective unit and carried a Glock 27.
I eventually changed holsters after some off-hand draw training. It's a pain to off-hand draw with a Safariland Raptor. I'd have changed holsters sooner but I hadn't made the time to unlearn the old draw technique and learn the new one. But I finally did and have a weapon light version of the new holster set to be delivered in a couple of days.
Nice light there. I carried a 2L-X from a few weeks after it was released until about 2 months ago. I have since upgraded to a Nitecore P12 and LOVE it.
This weekend I participated in a 2 day room clearing force on force class and (re)learned the importance of a bright ass flashlight. @Those carrying lights under 400 lumens - I highly suggest getting something brighter if you ever may have to clear a house or engage a threat that is outdoors where the light will quickly disperse.
