And now that you mention it I believe you could actually do it online, I remember when it was time to re nue mine they sent me a letter saying I could pay for it online or over the phone and they would mail it to me but it had to have the same picture as last years.

Spanky do they have any small DMV's around your area? I did mine at a very rural one and they were happy to finally get a customer in hahahahaha!

As far as I know there's only one close to me and you have to get there by at least 730 to not have more than 10 people in front of you.

Go to Grammercy on the side st. by Winn Dixie.
I've never been in there more than 15-20 minutes, and that was on a bad day.

As long as it hasn't expired, change of addresses are free. I had to do that last year.

If you want to be in and out in 5 minutes (no lie), go to the DMV in Hahnville at the courthouse. I always make the drive from here because it's so worth it.

Spanky you may be able to do it on line. I renewed my licence by mail ,last year. They mailed me a sticker to put on the back .

Unless it has changed, I don't think they allow that if your address is different.

    From their website:

If your address is different than what appears on the face of your license, you are not eligible for internet renewal. Louisiana law requires your current address to appear on the face of your license. You must visit an office to renew.

But I'd give them a call. Perhaps it has changed. I wish it would.

I also did mine a couple months ago when I bought a house. It's free, and I didn't need anything though I did bring a bill so they wouldn't screw up the spelling. If you make it towards Lafayette anytime the one here in Breaux Bridge was pretty empty when I went.
