I went to a DMV over towards Metarie. It was literally hell on earth. After spending 4 hrs in the place I finally got out of there. A few weeks later I get my Vehicle title and registration in the mail and they spelled my wife's name incorrectly.

And you better hope NOT to have a flag or you will be there ALL day, I had one for a damm utility trailer I sold thanks to the new owner that I was unaware of so I had to talk to 50 000 people until I found one smart enough and then when I did I had my company vehicle with me so obviously my insurance card wasn't with me, its a very efficient system

Thats when I decided to go to the rural area one the second time and it was in and out.

As far as I know there's only one close to me and you have to get there by at least 730 to not have more than 10 people in front of you.

Go to the one in Donaldsonville. There is never more than a 15 minute wait.

I got there at about 740 and there were two people ahead of me. Some skank that drove in before me but took 5 minutes to park the vehicle because, evidently, she had driven to the DMV without a valid drivers license somehow got in front of me but I was still out in 25 minutes. Not bad, I suppose.

I so badly wanted to walk up to the counter and say "Wait, didn't you drive here?"

renewed my DL, my motorcycle plate, and my trailer plate this morning in Gramercy, in and out in less than 10 minutes. Thats why I drive to Gramercy plus the peope there are friendlier.

Just a bit of useful info for future use.The Dept. O.M. V. is going to close a lot of the small offices' to save money. I am not sure when it will take affect, but it was on the news sometime back. Hence : Internet and mail renewal.

You lucked out . The last time I renewed , they checked all three vehicles that we own . Luckily my insurance card has all three listed .
