Sorry to hear that about your 870's, I got mine about 18 yrs ago and I have done everything with it. It has never failed me once. I bought a new one last yr, I hope it proves to be just as reliable. I bought a Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag Turkey gun about 8 yrs ago for hog hunting, it has never failed me either.

Behold my new HD shotgun "Gustav"

I ordered this 12 gauge from Hebert's back in December of 07 and just now got it last month.

18.5" Benelli Supernova with Comfortech recoil reducing stock and ghost ring sights. Added Tac-star heat shield and 7 shot extension. My 4 shot side saddle is back ordered.

Thanks Colin, it ran me $433.99 Tax included. I have yet to shoot it, but I have broken it down and inspected it and I feel that it is built much more robust than an 870 which I also own.

Excellent :) The 870 is nice and reliable, have had one for about 15 years, but I don't like it all that much for some reason.

I think the 870 is OK, but like you, I feel that something is "lacking" with it. For one thing I feel that the rails that extend frome the forearm are a bit weak. The Benelli bolt, carrier, and firing pin are very similar to an AR-15's setup. They both have a rotating bolt and the firing pins are nearly identical. The Supernova's bolt is just alot more robust than the AR's. I'll try to take some pics tomorrow if I have a chance.

I like rapid-fire 12 gauges too......... I have absolutely no feed problems with this 10" TROMIX S-12....The AGP mags are 10 rounds, and load in way faster than getting one or two up a tube, and the 20 round drums are on the way.....

Will at RedJacket in Baton Rouge also does a helluva job on these Saiga-12 conversions !!

As far as a shotgun goes, you just can't beat the firepower and ROF of these Saiga-12's !!
