Like he said, 10-8 Tactical in Harahan on Jefferson Hwy is good and Jefferson Gun Outlet in Metairie on David Dr is decent. 10-8 has all the tacticool stuff and lots of AR-15 parts and Jefferson Gun has a good bit of ammo (don't know pricing) and holsters. If you can get in there at the right time there is even a range in the building and pistol rentals available.

You think Jim's is high-go to Gretna Gun. They will make him seem like Walmart. Big thumbs up for 10-8 and Puglia's. Just down Vets from Puglia's is Don's Seafood!!!!

Gretna Gun is worth seeing. In terms of a visit it is probably the most interesting shop in the area.

Puglia's probably has the biggest variety of guns in the area.

I'm about to head over to 10-8 in a minute.

    10-8 tactical is really good

As long as you don't ask Maury to use his FFL to receive anything he might possibly sell on his own that is.

You'll find the attitude changes immediately should that occur. Even if you've been a steady customer over the years.

Other than that, lots of tactical doo dads if you have to have them today.

Today 10-8 looked like it has dwindled down a lot on inventory.

I was in there not to long ago and not to impressed with gun selection. Had some REALLY nice guns just not as many as I would have liked to see in a gun store. They did carry sp101 wolff spring kit and I couldn't imagine anyone local having something like that.

He used to be pretty good with keeping lots of AR-15, some tacticool shooties, plenty pistols, and some odd balls but I noticed a much slimmer inventory when I was last there about a year ago.
