Howa Model 1500

I am looking at a Howa model 1500 .308 to purchase. I like the gun it is nice but i do not know anything about Howa's. Does anybody have anything that may help?

I have a Varminter Supreme 1500 in .308. It's a sub MOA gun easily. I also sighted in a 1500 Lightning in .270. Once again, great gun. Did you want to know any thing specific.

From what I found Howa has made triggers for other mfgrs. They have also produced rifles for Mossberg & Smith & Wesson. The Weatherby Vanguards are made by Howa.

As dust off said, HOWA roll marked the 1500s for S & W, Early Mossbergs, and Weatherby Vangard; great rifle and very accurate out of the box.

Mostly deer hunting and big game

Someone else with more knowledge may chime in, but IIRC the 168 BTHP that Hornady makes is a "match" bullet and not the best for shooting animals.
