and the Mississippi River, Petrol Chemical industry, and Son's of Guns. Not to mention Swamp People, sugar cane, and Steven Seagal. We are far too valuable to let go.
You're right, if they cut us out, where will people get their massively over prices 1911s?

I stumbled across this earlier today. Personally, I believe that registering with whitehouse.gov and signing a petition like the one in the link below is likely to get you a free trip to Gitmo on the NDAA express, I thought some of you might get a kick out of this

    https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/pe...ca-and-create-its-own-new-government/1wrvtngl

On the Gitmo part of your statement I don't think it will get the average non gun/freedom loving citizen a damn thing. I do believe that people that frequent this site or others like it will eventually be targeted for our interests unlike those that don't. Everything is to easy to track back to a specific IP and they are collecting it all at places like the Utah Data Center. And no I didn't sign it.

If it could be handled properly, just think of the royalties we could collect off of interstate thruways alone, not to mention the fact the oil/natural gas in the gulf and the state !!! But it will never happen !!!!

Probelem is, It CAN'T be handled properly because there would be too much $$$$$ involved. The Fat Hogs in Baton Rouge would be at the front of the line getting fatter!! Imagine the corruption!! What we have now would be pale by comparison!!

I signed it as John Doe. I also had my girlfriend, Jane Doe, sign it too. Yes, we have the same last names and aren't married. No, we are not brother and sister :)

Used to watch Sons of Guns (You can tell Will Hayden's a good guy by how he takes care of veterans..Hell, he's a veteran.) all the time and tried to see every Lawman, but my absolute new top favorite is Duck Dynasty.
When you filter through all the staged stuff, the Robertsons (especially Phil and Si. "You can't spell squirrel without Si.") are my kind of folks.

Thread hijack over, but if Louisiana does seperate, I'm in.

Strangely I posted a thread last week on another board based on this hypothetical just as curiosity and then this shows up. Yes the chances of this are basically nil but make a big enough deal of it with media coverage and the libs realize we are not going down without a fight. Maybe they will back of this rhetoric of "this was a mandate" and "now they better be prepared to compromise". If you don't believe me on this watch MSNBC for an hour. You can't help but see the writing on the wall here that the libs smell blood now and will only continue to seize power where they may. "Please the masses" type of government is defined tactic now that they can make work.

Interesting to note is one state would start this and if purely for argument all the red states followed, the red states would possess:
    most of the oil
    most of the natural gas
    most of the coal
    most of the cropland
all of the Mississippi and its gulf access
    most of the gulf ports
the gold reserve (assuming any is left)
    Lake City munitions plant
a good percentage of the car manufacturing
vast majority of the kickass college football teams (sorry that time of year so I had to throw that in)

The main losses would be all specific industries centered in large cities like New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, etc and Wall Street.

My greatest curiosity would be what things would the feds be willing to do to prevent it under Obama's adminstration and how all the various federal properties within these states would be addressed particularily the military bases.

Do you think if Louisiana would leave the U.S. we would not get any "free" stuff from Uncle Sam. Then those folks would have to move to another state that gets the "free" stuff from the government. Gee we wouldn't have any more food stamps, welfare section 8, free phones ect. folks would have to move. Might be the way to go?
