I'm running a Rotax 503 on a Challenger II light sport. If you ask 10 different "Experts" you get 10 different answers. The one particular expert that did my overhaul, when I hit the magic number of hours recommended by Rotax, recommends AMSOIL Interceptor or Havoline. Another guy has had great success running AMSOIL Saber. A local friend running the same set as I am has had no issues running penzoil outboard oil.

Where you flying that thing out of?

Do you go to any of the local fly-ins?
I don't think we can go wrong with any of the oils we use honestly.
Ours is doing fine with RP, and would as well with AMSOIL, I'm sure.

    Omni airfield in port allen.
haven't been to any fly-ins in a long time.

Out with the old, in with the new....
So, we sold the King Cobra, recently, and through some finagling, picked up a new bird..

    Something wicked, this way flies....
My partner picked up this sweet Aerolite 103.
This thing flies like a rocketship, compared to the Cobra.
Looking forward to racking up some time, soon.
Going to upgrade my video equipment, so hopefully some high quality videos soon.

That white looking tower on the right side of the river in the distance in the woods looks like it might be the tower our 2 meter HAM repeater is on. It's close to the Nuke.

Do you have to have a flight plan / talk to a tower, or can you just up and go?

No that's not it. It's on the road that Hemingbough is off 61. It's on one of the old AT&T long line towers It's a red and white tower on the north side of the Nuke plant.

    Why?
"Because no good aviation story started with, 'There we were, loading it up on the trailer'"

You got a set of balls on you! :D

I had enough courage to do that when I was 18 or 20.

I must admit, that really looks awesome!
