Just picked up a Remington R25 in 308. This is one smooth shooting weapon. Made for Remington by DPMS. Broke gun in with some surplus 308. Starting serious shooting with Hornady SST. Shooting submoa groups at 300. Very impressed. Have Vortex glass and bipod. Virtually no recoil and a real pleasure to shoot. Would love to have another in 243!!!

The AR is naturally an accurate animal. As I understand it, it's 100% barrel. The rest is up to the user. If it has a good barrel and is free-floated, it will shoot. Remington has the capacity to produce EXCELLENT barrels. I forget which company it is, but they use a stock 700PSS barrel and cut it down, re-crown it, chase all the threads, etc. etc. etc. and guarantee 0.25MOA from the weapon. Stock tube, just dimensionally correct.

Title of this thread =

I've had the pleasure of shooting one of these in the exact same caliber and liked it quite a bit. How's the price point compared to other entry level AR-10s? (Never been in the market for anything short of super top tier, so I honestly don't know.)

^^^ This I would love to see.

Tested by Mel Ewing. He managed .34 MOA, but it came with test-targets sub .25MOA.

It was made by Tac Ops.
OEM 700P barrel, just trued cut down, re-crowned, threads chased, etc.

My point here is: Remington can make a barrel, and an AR is about shooter, barrel, and ammo, as long as everything else is in order and the optics, trigger, etc. are conducive to helping the shooter instead of hampering. That Remington AR should shoot like a house afire I would think.

Tac-Ops has one of the better guarantees and yet is one of the lesser known. I think they sell mainly to LEO market though. IIRC some of there methodology is not run of the mill.

I have shot some some 1/4 moa groups with my stock barreled 700. I would in no way guarantee it is 1/4 moa or that I could repeat that at will. Tac-Ops is pretty serious. At least they have a guarantee for what you get for $1600.
