I'm a deputy in Plaquemines and it is part of a coast guard base but also part of tulane research center. We get calls every now and then of people trying to sneak on or hunting hogs there.

If you bump into a guy head lighting pigs, and he's packing a Mini-14 (tatical) with a sniper scope, let him go. I'll send you some pork chops later on. :boink:

Yep, Charley's Pond. It's actually labeled on Google maps. Man, did that bring back memories. I remember building a big ass tower right next to the pond one trip and it was there for at least the next few years, IIRC.

Yeah, I remember one time when we were camping there, we were playing infiltration - kinda like capture the flag, but done at night and you have to be VERY stealthy (or at least as stealthy as 13 year-olds can be). I was prety good at the game and was well on my way to winning when a big deuce and a half pulled up and a bunch of guys in uniform carrying rifles jumped out and shined a HUGE light on me. They were pointing the guns at me and one of them said, "Oh it's just a kid." Then they got back on the truck and drove off.

Last time I ever played THAT game.
