I hate shooting with a scope. Those freaking crosshairs were bouncing all over the place from my pulse. With iron sights, I would have hardly noticed. But then again, my sight alignment and sight picture would not have been as good.

Short Stroked 1873 with complete action/trigger job.

Two Ruger New Vaqueros in .45 Colt and two SASS Ruger New Vaqueros in .357 with low hammers, wider rear sight and action jobs.

1887 and Coach Gun 12 gage.

92 with complete action job in .357

74 Sharps 45-70

Few more 92s in .45 Colt and .357

Will your open M&P run with minor loads?

Yes, it runs fine BUT, there's not enough gas to work the comp so you get muzzle flip that isn't there with major loads. Different powders as well. The Major loads use Autocomp which is designed to provide lots of gas for the comp and the minor loads I've shot are either factory UMC or use Titegroup. I'd have to adjust the sights since it shoots low with minor.
