I used a rotary tumbler with stainless pins, but I know others here have tumbled theirs. I think I recall Mickey posting he tumbled his with great results. Maybe shoot him a pm and see what he used?

I would go with separate .223 and .308 cans. I want to get something for 7.62X39, just shopping right now, trying to pick a can. .223/556 is hard on a can. If you want to save money on suppressors get a .45 can to cover your pistol calibers.

I will have to respectably disagree with you here. A good .30 cal can is built just like a .223 can. I have a .30 cal YHM can with at least 5k full auto rounds through it and it still works like a charm. The blast baffle shows very little erosion. If the full auto 223 doesn't break it's not going to break. Also the 30 cal yhm is rated for the 300 ultra mag so the .223 is much easier on the can than the ultra mag. I sell suppressors and I would almost never recommend a .223 can. The 30 works great on .223. Although it is a little larger I will give up a little size to gain the versatility of the .30 cal can.

why is .223 hard on a can? im no suppressor guru either as i only own a wopping 1 but have been considering my next one to be a 7.62 can to cover the rest of my calibers. ive not heard any negative to shooting a .223 through a 7.62 can before this.

I'll change it to I am going with separate .223 and .308 cans... .223 is a high pressure round, I have seen baffles eroded on big name cans big enough for .223 but not designed for it. I got a good deal on my .223 suppressor, one thing I am not too concerned with is having too many suppressors, it is sort of like having too many guns, how can you have too many?

thanks for the clarification. IF i ever get around to buying one i want a 30 cal can that is rated to take some pressure up to wsm levels as thats my round of choice. if it can handle that i can't see why it wouldn't be able to handle semi auto .223. but that will be research for a later date.
