I see there are several, but I just don't know the track record on any of the brands out there. but they all seem to be priced around the same: 85-115.

What are some good collapsible stocks for the 10/22? I'm 6'3 so the stock stock length is almost too short for me, but my wife is 5'0" and she'd have a much easier time using a collapsible stock.

I'm 6'6" so I feel ya. (always end up dating short girls too!)

This is the 10/22 version of the stock that comes on ruger's factory "tactical" mini-14

but if you have the $cheddar$ this is probably the best you could possibly find

(it costs more than the rifle is worth though) eek

chote stocks are always ugly and roughly finished, and the 10/22 promag stocks look cool, but I have heard many many bad things about them, and none good.

Just went and shot my 1022 today. The barrel and reciver compontents are stock with the exception of the mag release and bolt hold open. I was holding 1" groups at 50 yards with my BSA Sweet 22 glass. I was shooting wally world bulk federal, my ruger's shower in that ****!

check out the small amount of clearance on the last pic.

Have been working on cleaning up the one I bought from a member here. So far I am almost to the point of completing the refinishing on the boyds stock. I just got the tactical solutions ext mag release in today as well as the voltquartsen extractor from theshootersdiscount.com sponsor here great everything from these guys :). Once I am finished ill get some pics up of it.

Yeah that second one is sharp... but that's more than I paid for the gun with magazine, scope, and bag. I'd only make it a nicer looking gun for my wife to shoot me with.

CCI CB Longs... but you'll have to hand-cycle them.

Aquila sub-sonics are probably the next "quietest"; dunno if they will function the action or not.

    .
Actually, best bet is LR subsonic. CCI makes the most accurate for my gun with a stock deminsion threaded aftermarket barrel. But Remington, aguila, RWS and others make them in the 1050fps range and they all cycle just fine.

And it doesnt take much plumbing to quieten it down to a bolt click and bullet impact sound.
    Food for thought

Thanks guys. I don't mind having to cycle them ( should work just like the yugoslav Sks with the gas off )
It is for nuisance and night time problems.... Doesn't need to be rapid just semi quiet..... ;)
See above post. And CB caps are not accurate at all

My 10/22 is my favorite also. I went with a tapco stock, completely rebuilt the trigger group with volquarsen components, sling, a basic bsa red dot scope, and a nice muzzlebreak all from cheaperthandirt.com.....

Wow... that sounds like aadvertisement. Lol..anyway, here's my sweetheart.

That is a good looking conversion, I have not seen that one, What is it? I will have it by Weeks end! I keep a few spare 10/22's to do things to when I get bored...

On the Bolt hold open, it is a 12 second fix with a carbide bur on a dremel or the ilk.

Rechambering and a recrown on the factory 10/22 barrel is Cheap and works better than most aftermarket barrels (DO NOT cut the barrel at the muzzle down!).

THe G36K conversion is the Archangel Marauder. They're around $180, but it's pretty easy to find a better price
