I just had someone tell me about how great they thought the Nikon Monarch is. I've had a few guy's on the net brag on their Super Sniper scopes.

You probably have a lot of other things to consider besides brands. Big problem is bias, get what I got or buy what what I profit from the most. I'm no scope expert.

Clarity is great, 100yds is the furtherest I have shot with it because I am limited by not having a range that is longer. Sunday I am going out to 250 though.

This is my second Bushnell Elite 4200 and think they are both great. Read some reviews about the 4200s in general the quality is there.

Ask him he might be biased since he is trying to sell it though.

Yeah that is the way Bushnell does it. I bought one 4200 than they came out it with the one I got now and then of course they come out with this one.

OMG that 6500 is the hotness!!! I may have to save up and wait on this one.

By long range I mean 800+

If I may add my two cents, if you are planning of running out that far don't skimp on the glass. Make sure you look for a couple of things. One being adjustable paralax. 100yd shots don't really require it but mid ranges like you speak without question do. Secondly make sure you you pick one with enough vertical MOA to get out to where you want it. If not you will have to get a base to add the MOA needed. It is without saying that you want the clarity and light gathering that most of the new scopes of this calibre will deliver. Something else to think of with the larger calibres, make sure the scope allows for plenty eye relief or you will be reminded shortly why you need it. If you haven't had one of these higher power scopes before, understand that mirage will now be a factor. Don't fret, It is your friend.

    Good luck with your choices.

Yes inerneal adjustment is crappy with mine. Everyone so critical of its lack of adjustment that hopefully they coorected it. Mine does I believe have paralax from 10m to infinity as so many offer. If I was going to drop this much money I might thing of somthing else but. The optic zone is expensive though to begin with
