yeah, i can't wait to be half my size, i was thinking it might take till august which will be 18 months since i started, based on my current calculations, but i am okay with that, because even at that weight, i am going to continue to eat the same amount of calories and eating plan, and may continue to drop pounds but at a slower rate.

and there's NOTHING wrong with that.

Can you imagine showing up to Thanksgiving and Christmas Family get together's this year!?!?

That's going to be a SHOCKER for folks you haven't seen in a while!

very very very slow process for me. Started out 289lb and weighed myself this morning 262.8 with 0 exercise. I think a big problem with me is, I dont eat enough. I go all day without eating and when I get home from work I eat then go to sleep.

That's awesome though! You know why? B/c there's room for improvement. If you were doing everything possible and still moving slow, we'd have other issues.

It's all out there in front of you Bro. Take your time or make some changes but at least just STAY THE COURSE!

    Good job!

Total loss thus far is 182lbs, i originally though my starting weight was 440, but when going back over my starting date i realized it was 445.

One month away from my 1 year anniversary, if all goes as planned, i should reach 190lbs loss in 1 year which is far more than ever expected.

    You think!?! :p

I'll tell you like I told Spanky. You should attempt to use weighted vest, and a HD Ruck Sack and try and stuff it with 100+ lbs. Walk around with it to remind you NEVER AGAIN!

Awesome Job Bro! I'm still floored each time you post, and each time you do I drop and do 20 push-ups just for you! ;)

So, today i did something that i have not done in 18mos; i got back in the ring. I havent even so much as hit a bag since i tore just about everything in my shoulder. All the months of physical therapy, 3 surgeries, and lots of pain, sweat, and tears finally got me here.

Well thata the good news, now for the bad, ive managed to gain 60lbs during that time, and even though i can still pick up a fridge, i look like the stay-puft marshmellow man doing it. So here goes brother, im letting you know you arent alone. Im dropping this weight and more. I need to get back to where i was in the army. Lean and cut 6'3" 250lb. Started P90x today, and have been eating much better the past couple of weeks.

You are def some of my motivation man. Thanks.

Way to go for the continued dedication clay! Props to you as well boss for starting back with your weightloss and conditioning. I'm three weeks out from finishing a 3rd round of p90x, albeit modified. Next is a hybrid of insanity/p90x. Keep us posted!

Great response but any exercise is not a option, I used to run 5 miles a day when I was young 50 years old and below but arthrites has set in I'm 61 now, and ruff stuff is not a option anymore, only diet is the way to go,, and its hard to do...young people always think that their current abilitly will continue forever, but it will not,, trust me, your health will start to fail in your early 60's. if not sooner...
There are lots of options for older individuals. Low impact options. However I think the pool rules all!

Broke into the 250's today! 259.6 woohoo!! Haha gotta go get a new belt soon. This one is on the last notch
Nice job blackboltss. Some people might think I'm too cheap(some truth to it) to buy a new belt but I still use the same belt even though I'm past the last notch/hole. When the belt is good and loose I get out the ol drill and drill bit and install a new customized hole. lol. I've been tracking my progress this way and so far I'm 7 inches or so from where I used to notch my belt this time last year. Eventually I'll get a new belt but this one keeps me motivated in two ways: 1) to know where I used to be and don't want to go backwards, 2) to know that the hard work pays off and to keep pushing. I also record my sessions and post to utube and e-mail a few people to try to motivate them.

Keep it up. This is a very helpful thread.

Keep it up; it gets much easier after the first week. P90X2 is pretty awesome as well. Sweat is fat crying!
