I like my Marlin 336C in .30/30 and I have a "Frankenstein" .303 British built on a No4, MKII action that may get an ATI stock and a scope soon.

My homebuilt AR15 in 6.8 with BUIS & quick mount scope. Good for anything from point blank to 350yrds. The adjustable stock works well in varying weather, from short sleeve up to heavy jacket, and the 16in barrel is quick/easy to swing around.

Have always wanted a lever action, but have used my Ruger .44 Carbine for these hunts. Short, easyto cary around in tight brush, easy to shoulder, dependable. Mine was made in 1976, commemorates our Bicentennial on the barrel...kinda neat.

I haven't seen many carbines at ranges, just the modern version that's a lever. Had a few folks think I was shooting a 10/22...until the1st shot...
This was my father's, he bought it at a local merchantile store in our home town back then.
    I'll never sell it...

Yep... Mine is chambered in .35REM and was my very first firearm given to me on my 13th birthday by my Dad.

I have a Ruger .44 auto carbine that seems made for brush and heavy woods. It has very effectively supplied deer through the years since I bought it in the 70s.

Marlin 1894P 44 mag with 16" barrel or my Marlin 336T Texan straight grip saddle ring 30-30. All mine wear scopes as we have antler restrictions on my lease and I like to make precise shots anyways. I can see to shoot clearly at 10 yards on 3X and any closer i can just point and shoot.

Two Marlin 1895's in 45-70. One is a ported Guide w/18.5" barrel, the other is the Classic w/ 22" barrel. And if I think i'll need to reach out to more than 200 yards, a Marlin 444S w/ a 22" barrel.

I have a no safety Marlin 1894 44mag with microgroove that I always keep nearby for those quick trips to the woods.

Great gun. I sold mine a few years ago and really wished now I hadn't
