USS Alabama

Does anyone know if you can carry concealed on the USS Alabama in Mobile? I want to take the kids, but need to know in advance.

I was there a few weeks ago and didn't see any signs. However, I locked up in the car anyway since I was going to be crawling around in turrets and tight passageways and didn't want to deal with any potential snags/etc.

Well, no signs posted, but the email response I received from Mr. Tunnell states that no firearms allowed unless you are on-duty LEO.

It will be VERY HOT so pack lots of fluids. The hangar is very nice and has some really cool planes in it. Watch the video of the damage Katrina caused. They have done a good job getting the facility back up and running. I did not see a sign. Enjoy the trip.

Curious...if weapons are not allowed, are the folks prohibiting swearing the same oath you did to protect your family ???

The USS Alabama was decommissioned and given to the USS Alabama Foundartion, an independent agency of the state of Alabama.
