Both Little Saigon and Saigon Noodle at Sherwood and Florida are good places to go. The staff is helpful for the unfamiliar.
That is all...carry on.
Compared to Chinese food, what's the difference?
Do you have any suggestions on what to try for a first timer?
It's night and day different. For the first timer, just try Pho Tai, it's the famous beef broth soup, for rice dishes get Com Thit Nuong, it's white rice with grilled pork. You have to try the fish sauce with the rice and meat. The sandwiches are good too.

Sandwiches what kind of sandwiches are you referring to?
My two favorite Vietnamese dishes you can find locally are pho and bahn mi.
