A good buddy of mine owned a Spider back in the early 70's. I loved the car, as did he. However,it spent more time in the shop than it did on the road.

Found the launch control trick yet?

Yep, it's fun! I want to get it tuned, maybe do intake and a downpipe. We're waiting for the Mk7's to come out next year to decide if we are trading it or keeping it long term though. If the US gets the Mk7 Driver's package with the bigger brakes and real LSD it may be a done deal though!

Yeah, I'm running APR Stage 1, with a cold air, and it transformed the car. I have no idea why VW didn't just tune the motor like this in the first place, it'll hang with the factory Golf R, but the R digs so much harder with the awd.

I'm not sure where y'all are at, but Corr Performance out of BR and VW Plus in Lafayette are some great places to go, for any tuning or general maintenance needs

I use to drive this car to work on occasions, but @ 4 MPG that got expensive quick.

This is a 1971 Chevelle Malibu that I bought in 98, rebuilt engine after factory engine blew. I upgraded the 350 engine with fordged high compression pistons, steel cranks, chevy pink rods, ARP bolts, custom cam, high rise intake and double pumper carb. Made about 400HP and ran mid 12's, but replaced that engine with a 427 Big Block with similarly built, but it makes approx 550HP and puts 420 HP to the ground after some dyno tuning @ Futral Motorsports! It has a turbo 350 trans w/ manual valve body and 3800 stall going thru a 12 bolt posi with 3;90 gears. Runs mid to high 11's but will be lighter once I get it back from getting painted. Putting some fiberglass panels on it and getting rid of 3 layers of paint! It's in a currently getting some much needed bodywork and painting done ........slowly.

    Current state!

Really depends on my mood, the weather and what in particular I am doing that day.
For the most part it is this because it is roomy an gets good mileage:
    05 scion xb

If I need to haul or tow something, it is this:
    00 f250 4x4 crew/short 7.3/ 6 speed

If I am on the trails or just screwing off, it is this:
98 TJ 4.0/5 speed with lots of personalization

If I am just cruising around and don't have more than 1 person with me, it is this:
86 corvette coupe, 4+3, under 40k original miles, don't get to drive it much because it only has 2 seats
