I looked at the pictures of the ones arrested but can't tell if this is one, or maybe just a white kid who's really upset to be white.

Lots of kids through time are rebellious, w/o becoming gangsters. It sounds like the Smith Dad, 44 year old, was a real influence in these guys shooting at the police.

Uh, should I not have that? Mine are mostly in a professional capacity though.

I think twic cards are only required if the plant borders the river.

It's federally required if the facility is controlled by the US Coast Guard, in other words a port facility, river or coastal. But many (mostly chemical) facilities implemented it as a safety precaution so any plant that has shipping (i.e. trucks/barges) may have twic employees.

    As I understand it.

A "background check" of sorts is done when your card is issued. Unless you have felonies involving interstate commerce or illegal transportation of goods, chances are you'll be issued a card.

Can't talk much about it. This one is, by far, the most complex case we've had since I've been here. I'm working on the guns right now... took a break while the tech weenies re-supply the fancy ID label machine we have. The teams collected well over 100 pieces of evidence; Charles and I are sorting/labeling/processing the guns and electronic stuff today.

    .

Yeah. I suspect you'll lay low in this thread. They're in custody so I really am not concerned on that end. Bastards will fry. As I said though, good thoughts headed your way. I figured ya'll would be swamped.

    Thanks thatguy.

A band-aid for your broken heart

Yesterday, I ran into a friend who had a glittery band-aid on his shirt. When I asked him what it was, he said it was put there by the 7-year old daughter of one of the dead officers. My friend was helping watch the kids while funeral plans were being made. He said that the little girl felt sorry for all of the crying adults and began putting the band aids on them over their hearts - a band-aid for your broken heart, as she said.
