I liked Paul Gomez the instant I met him!
Extremely knowledgeable in our Art, and extremely willing to share
everything he knew. I spent time with Paul at the NTI and a number of other
venues. He was a genuinely good person, and, when he talked, I...
Anyone use a YHM replacement barrel for the 10/22? I need a threaded barrel for suppressor use and I want top notch accuracy. How do these compare to Green Mountain, TacLite, Kidd, etc?
As previously mentioned, dryer sheets torn in strips prolongs the life of your media and reduces the dust when sifting your brass. I use the unscented Bounce sheets and will never go without it again. Corn cob gets stuck in primer flash holes and is a PITA for me.
Build your bench at least twice as sturdy as you think it needs to be. It's nice to have a single stage press for ancillary chores or when you don't want to change the configuration of your primary progressive press to do a few rounds of whatever. I have a Forster Co-ax, a Redding T-7 turret and...

I'm not a Ron Paul fan, I think his foreign policy/ defense stance is suicidal. But I'll vote for who ever the nominee is. Anyone but Obama. It will probably be Romney, who scored just below Obama! Yikes!
For the FPR matches, we could run a "sanctioned" class and an "outlaw" class if there were enough shooters and have the best of both worlds. "Outlaws" would be eligible for cash/trophies/bragging rights, but not classification. Otherwise, keep it as it is.
Great time shooting today, thanks Rick et al for a superb match. The wind played nice today compared to the usual contrary conditions. I look forward to next month!
I had a great time today shooting FPR but the wind spanked my 70 grain Bergers pretty hard! Thanks Ritten et al for putting on an otherwise perfect match.
Yeah, I saw the SDM. I guess I should have specified > 20". I really like the DPMS 24" fluted barrel, but it is only available in 1:8 AFAIK. How much performance advantage, if any, is there in a longer than 20" barrel for 600 yd or greater competition?
There are plenty of 1:8 barrels out there, but who sells a 1:7 20-24" Barrel? Is there any downside to a 1:7 vs a 1:8 as long as you"re shooting 69gr. or heavier?

I have several tool heads set up with separate powder measures. I have the Uniquetek micrometer installed on a few powder measures where I may change powders/ work up loads...
