The list is of prohibited locations... I would say if it's not in the list, you're OK. When they wrote the statue, they were pretty specific about where you can and can't carry... it doesn't say "no state buildings".

I take "law enforcement office, station, or building" to mean, a place where commissioned law enforcement officers work... last time I checked, I didn't see any troopers behind the counter giving eye exams. Just my .02.

I was actually wondering the same thing about post offices. I don't visit one often enough to pay attention to posted signs, but it doesn't look like it's prohibited in this law, either.

The above statute doesn't specifically state the post office and federal buildings, but I've always heard that post offices and federal buildings were off limits. It might be some sort of Federal law. Regardless, I don't test it when it comes to federal buildings.

There is a federal statue about weapons in federal buildings, the state doesn't have anything covering it...so you'd be getting prosecuted by the feds! :wtc:

I don't have a CHP currently, but I want to get one soon, but I'm the type who will be better safe than sorry in the sense that if there is any doubt in my mind whether or not it's legal, I'll go unarmed.

Ok. I'm at the DMV and left it in the car. I'm standing in line now and examining the quality of folks present, and not feeling too safe. After I get my number, I'm definitely going back to the car.

Also, there's an older indian man standing WAY too close who keeps "accidentally" bumping into me. Should I blade at 45?

    and point with your finger!
