Larry's Pistol and Pawn but I don't know if they are shipping the ammo. They also had a bunch of Ruger pistols and rifles for sale...

I was just hunting for a case of cheap .223 and I'll be damned...everywhere is out of stock. There does seem to be a good bit of brass 5.56 (Federal XM193, etc.) out there but the prices are steep. I only found one place that had steel cased 55gr in stock at a "reasonable" price, $250 shipped at Widener's for WPA. Kinda sucks when I just bought a crate (2160rds) of 5.45x39 for the same price.

The way I see it, unless a bunch of .223 magically shows up, I won't be shooting my AR much for a while. Luckily I already have a respectable stash of XM193 so this shortage really only affects range time. Moral of the story is...if you need it, buy now.

you can still find the xm855 stuff locally in the 420 rnd cans. Ive seen it at academy and dicks recently. But its hit and miss on who has it and both places only had one. Also price isnt great IMO, but it is what it is. And if you want ammo, there isnt much of a choice

I have a case of Freedom 55gr and half a case of 62gr IMI sitting at the house. I wanted that 2 cans of 62gr on stripa clips the other day but ya'll saw how that went down.

I keep looking around and if I come across a deal I will pick it up and have it shipped to the house.

I haven't looked in a day or so, but, wideners.com ammoman.com both had "decent" deals the other day that were in stock. I am sure you guys have already looked, but I figured I would throw that out there.

I've placed so many orderd online for federal ammo that have been cancelled or backordered lately I've learned to call, and they are sold out. Getting crazy.

That said, I may have an unopened case of .223 (1000 rds) of aquilla for sale FTF slidell area, $300.

With the way ammo is going (especially surplus), I'm tempted to start buying cans of 5.45x39 even though I don't own a AK74 yet.

just bought four cases of 7.62x39 and 7.62x54r and i dont have an AK or a mosin nagant.....yet

7.62x39 will be my next move, I should have already started buying it. I have a yugo underfolder. I bought it in '07 before the ammo prices went through the roof, and now that the prices finally come back down for a minute, I need to stock up on some. Think I only have about 1k rounds for it.

An obstacle to stockpiling for me would be the fact that I'll probably move in a year or so. Anyone have any experiences moving an ammo stockpile to a new residence? Do the movers look at you funny?

Cruised thru Bullets and Bow's around 13:30 this evening and did note that he has several case's of 9mm and 40 in stock...
Ask about price's and this is pretty much it...
    9mm.Fed.270.00
    Independence 230.00
    Estute,220.00

    40 cal.Fed.370.00
    Ind.350.00

I have no idea if this will help the one's looking for ammo....I reload and only buy what i need for this hobby...
I did ask about .223 and the Owner told me that he's having a hard time finding it...That is all...

It is not hard to figure out why he still has ammunition in stock.
