My P229 is great but for a range toy I'm keeping my USP Expert or Beretta 96 Brigadier Elite for capacity. I'll narrow it down to just one eventually.
(Advertisement: my SIG P229 is in the classifieds)
My glock 35 ifs most accurate, also have a Gen3 model22$ 23,and a model 27/if u can shoot, the 27 can hold its own, head shots from 25 yards offhandl my wife just happen to have a glock 27//gen 3 for sale,$450 dollars with 3 mags and original box.less than 120 eds thru gun,in great shape.
Love all three of these .40s equally:
1. G2 Glock 23(easy to control, never fails, and factory mags up to 22 rounds)
2. SIG P229(the slide was made for the .40 round which makes this one very controllable, possibly more reliable than a Glock, and the transition from double to single action is the best)
3. HK USP Compact(possibly the most reliable, very accurate, long lasting mag springs, and the option to carry "cocked and locked" on the models with a safety)
I have several other "better" guns in .40, I don't shoot them as well. Except the Beretta, which I can shoot very well, but the grip is just too large for my tastes.
