At one point. some time back, several sections had stickies that had alot of useful baseline information that was really helpful for the newbies.

Put new, basic and or technical information back into the sections they belong as stickies so the newer and less technologically able people can find easier.
Easy to find information to help people break down, clean, purchase, maintain and select equipment will help keep new people coming back.

I know that. But the information was useful to some.

Don't need their posts. Perhaps some of the other contributers could be convinced to provide this.

Is there a way to pay for a premium membership using a visa or bank card? I wouldn't mine upgrading but I absolutely refuse to use anti-gun paypal for anything. Also maybe put a tab at the top of the forum home page to be able to become a premium member.

I'm really liking the new *New Posts* tab. Super convenient.

The comments in the classifieds isn't going to change. It's been discussed over and over and over again. The horse is dead. It's like, in rigor now. You post your WTS/WTB/WTT and bump it every 24 hours giving you equal opportunity as everyone else posting theirs. Giving the opportunity for comments incessantly bumps others to the top when people just decide to post "nice gun" or "If I had the money", overlooking other posts that have been there for the same amount of time. Fair is fair y'all.

They're (admins) running a business (this site) and just trying to make executive decisions to help said business move forward positively and accordingly.

ETA: Maybe make the *New Posts* tab a brighter color so you can see it better. PINK IS A GOOD CHOICE.

    1. Add a fs/ft option in the classifieds
    2. When ads are marked sold by the OP, move them to the bottom of the pile.

I visit the sight almost everyday. I have little to add to a lot of what i read.If members have post
count minimums then a lot of post with little merit will show up!

    These are both good ideas.

    I miss classifieds comments.

was a good source of information, as well as finding out what else people might have on the market should a trade fall through.

theres a lot of gain to be had in reinstating the ability to comment.

I thought it was because all the cheap kits dried up. We need to have another build party.

well suomi kits and PPS kits are still cheapish, that would be something fun.

PPS43 kits are like 50 bucks... and the only thing needed to convert it to 9mm is a barrel as the magazine and bolt face are already functional with 9mm.

One thing about the classified ads is the poster forgets information such as caliber, barrel lengths, or other info that is pertinent to the item they are trying to sell.
Maybe a format for proper description, or specs. When we were allowed to post comments I would try to ask the poster/seller questions just to bring out some missing details.

Other than that, I would just like to say thanks for the forum, it has provided me a place to check out what others are doing, or share info to other forums or to bring in new people over to learn from this forum. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with folks if and when I can!

I had mentioned this before in the past, where there were selections that had to be populated before you were allowed to submit a post in a classified, such as Type (rifle/pistol/shotgun)/Make/Model/caliber/barrel length/ price. Something similar to what you have to choose from in the prefix for WTS/WTT/WTB/SOLD, but for the general specifics of the firearm you are selling. The "type" section could be used to help "sort" things in the classifieds, such as sort by type/date listed/caliber, etc.
