No way. She did mention something about someone being on break
so that was probably the person who is the experienced worker.

    Hopefully....

At least she knew that Walmart was not into equestrian activities... She may get the phone number correct at least.

Also makes me wonder if she could fill out the form and legally purchase a gun herself? I'm thinking there may be some boxes checked YES on the front...

Having never purchased a gun from Walmart before, would she be the one handling the 4473 and calling my information in?

The firearm process is 3 fold:

1: the department manager, or an approved associate has you fill out the paperwork (this person has passed minor training on this process)
2: the paperwork is reviewed by a second responsible party (one of the above) before it is transmitted to ATF
3: the paperwork is then reviewed by a salaried member of store management, before the gun is transferred to the customer.

No, she cannot. I've terminated multiple employees attempting to do this- trust me when I say there are safeguards in place by both walmart and ATF, and that this gets caught -very- quickly.

Very well, with your 2 posts, i'd feel good about a gun purchase from Walmart(if i can find a Sig 716).

the process of buying there is fantastic. Just don't ask them anything about the actual firearm, unless you use 3rd grade english.

"I want to see the Colt LE on t.... eh, the black one 3 from the right. One more over.."

The Siegen location (BR) still had the original prices on all guns, but nobody was there to scan em to see if the clearance price would pop up. At least I was able to get a 100rd federal shotshell pack marked down from $23.67 to $19.94.

Guys I really enjoy the discussions on here but this one was very beneficial. I just hope I can help post something that will help yall one day.

I just left the Gonzales Wal Mart after hitting the Jackpot.

I picked up a Colt 6920 FDE Survival model. Since it was the December Gun of the Month it also came with:

    Pelican Case
    3 Blackhawk Rail covers
    Blackhawk Vertical Grip
    30 Rd PMAG
    Waterproof Map pouch
    Blackhawk cleaning kit
    Camillus Multi Tool
    Compass
    Sling
    Camillus Survival Pack
    3 boxes of ammo
    Blackhawk Flashlight
Camillus fixed blade knife and sheath
    First Aid Kit
    Survival Rations

    Total Price was $1,080

    Wish yall the same luck

When I called Crowley last night, the guy told me that's what they had available. Wasn't sure what it came with, he said "Colt with survival kit, usually $1700, on sale for $999".
