I think the problem is that I will come out and say publicly i hate ******** statements but the true anti crowd likes to hide behind the "I have friends that are cops". If that's what you are then own it and I can respect that. I can't respect closet anti's

Not trying to start actual confrontation just letting you know smart people don't "front on me" (sorry for the **** poor gangster lingo). Mostly because people know how to behave, I'm not super intimidating or anything but a no little pu pincle neck chickens***.

Got it. You're a cool guy. Noted.

I have personally dealt with guys that say the same thing only to learn what a real lesson in act right is.

    I love the internets.

There is a little recap for you for context. No where do you say anything about adrenaline, waiting on a lawyer or anything you later posted.

As for you buddy, either he was jerking you off telling you that, he's a moron, or he is a crooked politically appointed police administrator. You most probably will already be in the back of a car not being talked to by anyone until the lead gets there and arranges for you to be brought back to the station for an interview. Again- not TV, real world stuff there.

JM is totally on point with the Shell station shooting. That guy was a complete and total pleasure to deal with. He was totally cooperative, non-confrontational, and patient. He let them do their thing at the scene, finished his Dr Pepper in the back of the cop car, rode to the station and gave his statement, and went to the house. No muss-no fuss. He was home within 3 hours of walking into the place. Throughout the process the lead went to him several times to check on him and update him on the goings on pertaining to his detention. He was a complete and total gentleman, and I don't think he ever once mentioned his rights, a lawyer, or any other issues. In fact, I do believe the lead was the one who brought up him getting an attorney and he turned it down.

    Or so I've been told.;)

I won't deny my post was vague, that's why I felt the need to further elaborate my point.

My buddy is 2nd (for sure) possibly 3rd gen LE, he's pretty well connected. I'm not saying any more than that... I'm just stating that people say things in the heat of the moment, and it'd be best to not be out in the open and have some time to collect your thoughts before making any statement. I'd probably like to have an attorney present to make sure my ass is covered and don't say anything to possibly incriminate myself. That doesn't mean that I believe that cops are bad... A few are, most are great people! I don't think you can deny that.

It's going to be up to the individual to determine for them self whether or not they want to lawyer up, and it would depend on how justified they felt they were, and whether or not they felt they could handle the situation on their own.

I'm not trying to be combative with you guys, and always try to conduct myself in a professional manner. I've never had a bad interaction with a cop, and hope to never have one. I'm all yes sirs and no sirs, and my loaded weapon is here if you'd like to check it. I know my rights and have no problem envoking them if I feel the need.

No one in the thread is anti-cop it's as much a figment of you imaginations a white privilege is to the "community". But just like when the "community" comes out and says cops hate black folks, your position is just as ignorant. Some of us think for ourselves, and won't be anyone's boot lickers. Sorry if that comes of anti-anything.

    And this is what?

That's a response to your frontin'.

You're the one who brought up people not talking a certain way to your face in this thread. Only to back down like a punk. You apparently have sensitive feelings if people telling you you're wrong in the internet gets you this wound up.

I love when people say "you won't say that to my face." Why wouldn't I, or any else? What are you going to do? Assault me?

This thread is great. Reminds me of a thread we recently had, but it might have disappeared, or maybe it didn't happen?
