      Best powder for 223 and 308

      Varget or H4895 with bullets over 60 gr. With lighter bullets 52, 53, 55 gr I have not been able to beat H335 for accuracy or consistency. BLC2 is good also.

      Just bought a Gieselle match trigger and it wont install in my circa 1993 Colt HBAR. It's a large pin (Mod R6600 I believe). There's a metal block (see pic) beneath the safety that prevents the new trigger from going into place. The block is pinned from 1 side and a small roll pin to the top...

      There were no 7 1/2" barreled single actions (old or new models) produced by Ruger in .357 Mag, only 4 5/8" & 6 1/2". A few early flat tops were 10".

      Para Ordnance P14-45 and American Select

      I would try the loads with the stock spring first. I shoot a Para 1911 Ltd and a 14.45 LDA. Both of these shoot reduced loads 4.0 Bullseye w/ 200 SWC without any malfunctions.
