      I think that you are treading on dangerous ground here, if you need a midrange load, try a different powder. Save the 296 for full power hunting loads.

      Has anyone out there had any luck coming up with the LR Accubond load in the 6.5 Creedmoor? I bought a box to try and so far no decent groups. Started out with 42.4 grains of RL17 with the bullet seated close to the lands. No go with this one, but this load works very well with a 142 SMK...

      I'm happy everything turned out good. You obviously kept a cool head and didn't get rattled. This probably made the difference in the outcome.

      I bought some rubber grips for a Security-Six a few years ago at Jim's. I dont remember if they were Hogue grips, but they were very similiar. Big improvement over the stock wooden grips that were on the pistol. Maybe, they they still stock them.

      Barbarossa, 19.5 grains of 2400 is a fairly high pressure load. It's probably close to the recommended max charge. I would think that it is logical that you would have some leading issues with a cast bullet. A jacketed bullet would be more appropriate with this powder charge. I think that...
