Had two daughters.
I'm on team girl now. Volleyball, ballet, piano recitals, art lessons, library trips, acrobatics. That and stuff got really ugly for a while there all over the gun boards, and I decided to take a powder. People were all angry and stressed out over what I felt was silly...
I still have a bunch of kits, but my second child (and second daughter) was born ten years ago, so building kind of lost its charm - no one to pass it on to. Man, though do I have ammo!
I miss the build parties back in 2007. Still have instructions for build steps written on the wall of my shop.
Starting in 89 I've visited southern France and Paris about 7 times. I have been to Cuba, the Czech Republic (Prague and environs), Spain, a little bit of Italy, as well as the usual - Canada, Mexico, and three weeks in Antigua and Barbuda. My favorite place so far is southern France...
I'm coming late to this thread, and I am astounded to see that Mosin-Nagants, the most numerous of guns are actually hard to find on the retail market.I guess it's the same with everything. Haters pissed on them from a great height just like the Yugoslavian Mausers and the Romanian AKs. All...
Yes, the wood is always the weak point on the type 53's. I had a long conversation with a guy who imported them, and he said the Chinese have absolutely no respect for firearms. He said they treat them like disposable commodities.
I wonder about this a lot these days. So much talk of catastrophe on the gun boards is a bit depressing. This is the United States for crying out loud! This is like peaches and cream central, but there are always the type who hate themselves or their lives who want to ruin it for the rest of us.
Here's an early-model milled RPK kit with the original barrel. $300.
Shipping is $20 unless you're in the Greater New Orleans area. Then maybe we can meet.
...underfolder kit with matching numbers on trunnion, bolt carrier, and dust cover, and a barrel that passes the bullet test. $300

Kit Number 2 is a very nice condition stamped Yugoslavian fixed-stock kit. While the...
I own *a lot* of Mosin-Nagants. 91/30s, M44s, M38s, and T53s. They all have similar recoil - which means you can shoot more than about 70 rounds of spam-cam milsurp ammo without bruising your shoulder. The limb-save recoil pad pretty much eliminates this issue though. $20 and you never have...
Curious thing about this thread: I have three carbines. All came frome the Israel shipment that came to Century around 2009. They all have the bayonet lug, and they all have flip-up sights. None are accurate beyond about 150 yards.
Man, there's a Youtube video that shows you how to do anything on earth. I did a search by the model number of my washing machine and found a video that showed how to change out the coupler that marries the motor to the drum, and another that showed how to replace the wing-mirror shell on my...
*Sigh*
I'm giving in to the badge of age. I've been near-sighted al my life, but I've always been able to see up close while wearing my glasses. Even though my unaided distnce vision is good only out to about 50 feet I've always been able to focus close even while wearing glasses. At 50...
The Hondas and Yamahas have beeb sub-contracted to Chinese factories for so long now that the Chinese have all the factories, workers, and supply chains in place to produce the very same generators they made for Yamaha and Honda. Specifically the Yamahas are almost exact clones of the...
Yeah, I was reminded that this is the same police force that took two hours to show up when a chick drove her Chevy Subdivision right over my car while she was texting and I was blowing my horn 20 feet from her ****ing ear.
Kelly riddell sounds like she has a pretty big axe to gring with the current president. Do you have any sources that interview the administration about their goals in this instead of their political opponents?
