Just saw this, and I want to go. Anybody else want to ride share? I'm in Baton Rouge.
Just looked on Orbitz.com and saw hotels pretty cheap. $79 or so near the galleria.
Since about 2004, I carried a SOG Trident TF-2
Last month, I got a new SOG Trident TF-7
Both of them are great knives. The assisted opening is nice and smooth, provided I clean the pocket lint out of the mechanism about once a year.
They hold an edge for what seems like forever. To sharpen...
I keep color copies of my Form 4 scattered everywhere. There's always one in my car, computer room, bedroom, pistol case, rifle case, range bag, and anywhere else my can may be.
The original is in the safe deposit box.
Maybe softer recoil wasn't the right way to put it... The recoil force was the same, but it seemed to be not quite as sharp. Maybe this was because of a stronger buffer spring... not sure... but I remember shooting a friends AR a while back - which is a piston conversion - and it had the same...
Ok... I've been doing computer security and forensics for a living for over 10 years now. Interestingly enough - AV software isn't all that effective any more. Even the better ones out there only catch about 30% of the active malware.
AV certainly does help with your computer security, but...
I think the hot weather and the tactical boots have the same sole. If so, then they're extremely slip resistant. I wore the hot weather ones while moving through wet mountains in Afghanistan, and I never slipped.
I fired some piston driven AR's at the B-Day bash on Saturday, and I like the softer recoil when launching .223 rounds downrange. So I'm thinking about getting a piston conversion kit for mine. It's a standard DPMS upper with a 16" barrel.
Any suggestions on a good brand to go with? I...
Been shooting my 522 with a can for a while now. Nothing like it! Best .22 LR I've ever owned. Everybody that shoots it asks me where they can get one.
Price-wise - I bought mine last year when Louisiana had the tax-free hunting weekend. Bought it for $485.

Look at the Tactical Six. I haven't worn them, but if they're anything like the hot weather assault boots that I've worn, you won't regret it.
Ditto to all that ^
Many thanks for all the awesomesauce that we experienced today, thanks to Will and the RJF crew.
I've been shooting various things for about 20 years, and this was the first time ever that my trigger finger actually got sore.
Got home from the Red Jacket bash, and noticed my dog had pushed the BBQ grill to hide behind it. She gets a little frantic during storms. I noticed a lot of stuff on the porch wasn't where it usually is. Must have been quite a storm.... Thankfully, no damage to the home. Also thankful to...
Depends on what you need it for. If you're just setting up a personal site to share blogs, pics and the like, then it's no big deal who you use.
If you plan on using it for business, then you'll want to go with a company that has uptime guarantees and different levels of support - depending on...
Indeed.... It was great meeting good folks like you. Thanks again for sharing your shade with me today!
List of things I need for next year's B-Day Bash:
Camelback
Big hat
More sunscreen
More ammo
The Bash was quite a memorable experience for all involved. The plethora of automatic weapons...
