      Skeet Trap Shooting Clubs

The 3 I know of from least expensive to the most are. Bridgeview gun club, Port Allen, Wilderness clays in Lafayette, and Covey Rise in Husser. The first 2 are roughly 200 a year, and .30 cents a clay, or you can shoot as a quest without a member being present and a round of 100 clays will run...

Sweet gun, but was looking for something with longer barrells. i assume this one has auto ejectors? Not familiar with Weatherby shotguns, are their chokes readily available and which aftermarket chokes does it accept?

      Ruger Redhawk 45acp/45 colt

Yup, it came with several from Ruger, Ruger says they are proprietary and that was my first thought, might not be the right ones. Manuel says not just any moon clip will work...........

      Ruger Redhawk 45acp/45 colt

Thanks, I did see on another forum, that sometimes the bump on the hammer needs to be slightly honed for better contact. Didn't particularly want to do that. I'm about to put some different grips on and while I have it apart I'll make sure everything is clean around the transfer bar, etc.

      Ruger Redhawk 45acp/45 colt

Latest revolver acquisition. Last range session was getting light primer stirkes on the .45 acp stuff. Anyone else have this issue? Its my first Redhawk, have had several Blackhawks including one with extra cylinder for .45 acps and never had that issue. I was using Winchester white box which...

      Sherburne Range Etiquette

You did the right thing! I love Sherbourne myself and have run into the same issues. I'm an RSO as well. I try not to be a jerk about it, but won't have someone being unsafe and possibly shoot someone, that be hard to live with if I did nothing. I don't get to go during the week as much as I use...

      Guitar players, a question...

I know this may sound silly, but cheap guitars ( especially acoustic) are very difficult to play and will discourage a beginner trying to learn chord formations. The Ibanez is a good suggestion in your price range.......I'm a Taylor man myself but an entry level one is going to cost you more...

Central resident catches burglar in the act and holds for authorities

It could be argued that the homeowner left the safe sanctuary of his home and brought the fight to the perp. Property crimes in the state of Louisiana do not justify the use of deadly force, with the exception if the item stolen was a weapon, then the perp has armed himself. If the perp then...

      The average CCW issue time?

Straw poll of former students says average about 4 - 5 weeks. LSP website stated 120 days at one point, but haven't heard of any actually taking that long.
